Stella Afua Assiedu

Stella Afua Assiedu is a 22-year-old Christian whoworships with ICGC. She had her secondary school education at Aburi Girls’ High School and continued to do journalism at the Ghana Institute of Journalism. She is single. She started work at TV3 in 2004, when she was twenty years, as a reporter and now she sometimes reads the news in brief and the major news bulletin when it gets to her turn on the roster. She has not had it easy working at all. There have been times when she and the crew face mob actions for covering very sensitive issues and issues bordering on environmental pollution.

IIt is her Wish that Ghanaians would change their attitude to work and their environment. The government should also ‘walk the talk’ by backing talk shops with action. They should also enforce the laws especially the one on domestic violence. Ghanaians must make it a habit to pay taxes to develop the country’s economy. She is looking out to see Ghanaian Women liberated in the mind to stand up for their rights and that requires a lot of education especially at the grassroots or among the rural folk.

She loves traveling and so she wishes to work with the UN and do humanitarian jobs.
