RUTH AJELOLO

Ruth Ajelolo is a 48-year-old Ewe born in Accra, a Christian and a single parent with two children, a boy and a girl. She has two dependants, her mum and her cousin’s daughter.

She is a journalist by profession and works with Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC). Her work is such that, she goes to the field to get news and then edits and sometimes presents as well.

There has never come a time that she has been sidelined or been prevented from doing anything just because she is a woman. She feels people are treated because of the way they carry themselves.

Her source of inspiration has been her job. She joys so much in what she does than anything else. She also draws a lot of inspiration from Joyce Aryee of the Chamber of Mines, who she describes as a very strong-willed woman.
