Pearl Agbetor (Mrs.)

Mrs. Pearl Agbetor is a 35 year old woman. She is a teacher by profession and is currently teaching English and French at Accra Academy, Kaneshie, Accra.

She is undertaking a Master's Degree Programme in Environmental Management and Policies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in French and English and a Diploma in Education from the university of Cape Coast as well. She won an award in General Science and in an essay competition with the Ghana Education Service. She was also the chapel prefect in form ‘4’ and girl’s prefect in form ‘5’.

The Bible is her source of inspiration as it enables her build a positive image for herself.

Her vision is to affect her society in positive ways. She sees academic excellence as a way to facilitate this vision. She plans to set up a school as a means of supporting the vulnerable in society. She urges women to strive for economic independence and should change the negative perception of not being able to make it without any support from the men.

Mrs. Pearl Agbetor worships with the Global Evangelical Church and hails from Anyako in the Volta Region. She is married with two children, a boy and a girl in addition to two dependents. She mentioned that her father died early and her mother took over to see them through their education.

She runs a stationery shop with her husband in support of the family. As a nursing mother she has not got enough time for the growing baby since she has to be rushing to school always to teach the students.
