Abiba Osmanu, Alajo Electoral Area

Abiba Osmanu

Abiba Osmanu’s family has lived in Alajo for twenty-nine (29) years. She is standing as a candidate to be elected as a district assembly woman because she wants to contribute to the development of her community. Some of the problems in her community include poor sanitation and flooding resulting from choked drains. She hopes that through her representation, the assembly will address these issues. She hopes to help re-organize the main market in the area as it is the main source of income for most of the women in the community. She goes from house to house to convince people to vote for her and to represent them at the assembly. She makes no promises to the people. According Abiba, she has a lot of support from her community.
